We Are Always Looking for Volunteers

Who Are Willing to Commit to

One Wednesday per Month

Every Wednesday Evening, “The Somerset Group” of District 14

puts on a men’s meeting and a women’s meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous

at the Somerset County Jail. We are looking for volunteers

who would like to give one Wednesday per month to help with this valuable service work.

A one time training and security clearance is required in order to participate.

Orientation to be qualified and cleared to go into the jail occur the first Thursday of every other even month and in April, 2014 that date is April 3, 2014 from 5:00pm to about 8:30pm. The jail conducts background checks so your application needs to be received a week in advance of the orientation. They request you show up early on the night of orientation to have your picture taken for a badge. Be aware that if you sign up to take a meeting into the jail and do not arrive at the jail with your badge you will be turned away....
